The Environmentalists

We are a group of students who love the environment and want to educate others on the environment and help them come to love it as much as we do. Our goal is to educate others on why its necessary to protect our environment and all the animals that live in it. You might be wondering why we care so much about the environment? Imagine if one day you looked outside and all the beutiful trees you admire are suddenly gone. Or what if pollution got so out of hand that you could no longer see the sunset because the smog is covering it up. If we don’t take charge in fixing our mistakes and the wrongs we’ve done to the environment that could be a possibilty. Helping to improve the environment is going to be a long journey, but that doesn’t mean we get to give up. Even if you ride a bus to school or walk instead of your parents driving you that can help.

What We Do

Our current project is Habitat Hotels, a project that involves restoring prairie areas in Illinois. We are removing invasive species, planting native plants and building habitat hotels, small houses for pollinating, non-agressive bees.

We are educating other students through gardening workshops, and habitat hotel workshops.
